South Africa - The end of 15CA #2054
I found Class 15CA #2054 being cut up at Voorbaai Depot during a tour that I hosted for Ffestiniog Travel. A sad end for a fine locomotive.

#2054 was built by the American Locomotive Co in 1926.

Zimbabwe - Mutare NRZ Workshops
The National Railways of Zimbabwe workshops in Mutare maintained English Electric and Brush locomotives. The workshop now maintains American General Electric locomotives.

The only locomotive at Shurugwi that was not made by Prof is this South African made Funkey, close relative to the two Funkeys on the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways. Being non-standard, it is maintained as a spare locomotive, backing up the two larger Prof machines. Thu 21st Apr 2005
